Jude Bellingham and Levi Colwill have withdrawn from the England squad for the upcoming European Championship qualifiers with injuries.
England, who have already secured their place at Euro 2024, take on Malta and then North Macedonia as they close out their qualification campaign this month.
Bellingham will not be involved after picking up a shoulder injury which ruled him out of Real Madrid’s La Liga win over Valencia on Saturday night. Colwill, meanwhile, was left out of Chelsea’s squad for their 4-4 draw against Manchester City on Sunday.

The pair reported as planned after being called up by manager Gareth Southgate but following an assessment by England’s medical team, they have now pulled out of the squad.
Bellingham suffered a dislocated shoulder after an awkward fall early on in the draw with Rayo Vallecano on November 5. He was able to be part of the squad for the Champions League win over Braga but was an unused substitute, before he was left out against Valencia.
Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti had said last week that he expected Bellingham to be available for Saturday’s fixture but after further tests, the club confirmed he would not play.
Bellingham and Colwill ae the latest players to pull out of the squad after midfielder James Maddison, defender Lewis Dunk and striker Callum Wilson also withdrew.
The FA also confirmed that Marcus Rashford and Kalvin Phillips will meet up with the squad later this week, owing to personal matters.
