Steven James Hewitt (born 22 March 1971) is an English musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. He is the frontman for his own group, Love Amongst Ruin. Hewitt is most well-known for his role as drummer for Placebo from September 1996 through October 2007. He is a guitarist and drummer left-handed.
Being “betrayed” after leaving Placebo and having to decide “to go to the pub or the studio”, Hewitt returned to his studio in his home and started creating “a new band, a new album and a new sound”. He played guitars, drums as well as piano and lead vocals to the album , and also enlisted Jon Thorne and Donald Ross Skinner as co-producers.
